New to the site, looks great, help pick a rifle

I have decided to get a 338wm. What make of rifle should I get.

So far I have found a ruger hawkeye, savage weather warrior, brwn abolt, tika lite.

I can order a ruger stainless laminate or a tika laminate.

I am leaning toward one of the two laminates, but how are the ruger hawkeyes in this caliber?

which one would you pick?

the tikka's are tack drivers i have one in 270 win and absolutly love it!!! only problem you'll encounter is the recoil because anything laminated or synthetic is so light....with the heavier cals i tend to try and stay with a heavier wooden stock....good luck in which ever you choose...there all fine rifles!!!

Welcome to the forum. The 338 WM is quite a powerful cartridge. What other big game rifles do you have and where and what are you going to hunt?

I suggest the Ruger from your list as it has CRF, a three position safety and is made in the USA.

If you plan on doing a lot of bench shooting, I would get the weather warrior with the muzzle brake.

i have a tikka t3 lite 270 wsm. I LOVE IT! very accurate and straight shooting.
