Hunting in Maine is great. I will be attempting turkey hunting for the first time this Spring. I have been practicing calling all Winter long and reading about tactics and strategies in hopes of tagging a tom.
The deer herd is increasing with the mild winters we have been experiencing.
Rabbits are plentiful.
Of course there are no better places to go after the big bruins.
If we could hunt elk like I did when I lived in Colorado, Maine would be the perfect place to hunt.
In the darkness, the hunter stumbles through the underbrush, making noise and leaving his scent seemingly EVERYWHERE!
Daylight will be here in 30 minutes and he wanted to be in the stand an hour before daylight.
