Thanks for the welcome. I

Thanks for the welcome. I live in Arlington Wa. about 45 min. north of Seattle. I like to hunt our local blacktail population and i make a few trips to the east side of the state to kill Muledeer bucks.  Any other time i'm killing ducks or fishing for steelhead or sturgeon. Hope to chat again with some of you again.

welcome to the site.im new as well. first year hunter in oregon. i know late sseason archery just opended. i was hoping to go but have no clue where to start. wondering if anyone needed a partner. im in brookings. saw some nicebucks during regular season but didnt take any shots cause i thought i could still get a rifle tag. turns out that was a no.

Ryans- You were right. I relooked at your post and noticed your from down south and your late season started a week before ours up here. How has it been going so far? I've passed on a few small bucks and several does. keep us posted.

welcome to the site ryans!!!! The late season archery doesnt start till next weekend NOV 20-DEC 12. so dont start hunting just yet. I'll be hunting the late season as well but a bit farther north in the santiam unit. if you make it up this way I can show you a few great spots for blacktails. good luck on your hunts and keep us posted. again welcome to the site.

another newbie to posting

I would like to add to this thread, being a new guy myself. I am in so. oregon and am interested in some tips or info on late season archery in Jackson and Josephine counties. I would be glad to share any info or experience I have, limited as that may be, just to be able to pick another hunters brain about so. oregon. Thanks for reading. Bob

welcome roguebob!! there is some great info here at this site. I ahvent hunted southeren oregon in a few years, and when i did it was down by roseberg. There is some great deer hunting down there and have seen some very nice bucks taking from down there. I've heard out of medford holds some good deer as well. good luck with your hunts and againm welcome to the site.

It looks like you already found Numbnutz and despite his name neener! ... he is one of our most knowledgable guys from your region. Good luck guys on your late season hunts. So far in the late season I have been out 3 times, I've passed on a few forkies and 1 small 3x3. I've had about a dozen does within 10 yrds and let them walk, I'll make it out 2 more times and its getting down to crunch time so no more passing on those does. I'll let the little bucks walk. if i dont see a big blacktail I'll shoot a doe for some meat.
