I may be slightly biased but i would always recomend the leupolds, especially with the warr, solid craftsmanship. I myself havent ever owned a zeiss but I cant say enough about the leupolds.

Only have ever owned Leupold and really like them. For the money you get a clear bright optics in a rugged, water/fog proof, and durable tube. Only called their customer service line once for a quick question recently about why they gave in and removed the "Made in U.S.A." lable from their scopes bottom recently. Was met with a friendly and a reasonable answer which tells me that they have knowledgeable folks working for them. Never had to use the customer service for any problems with my scopes though and that should say something about their scopes. Truely one of the few and one of the last American made products around that is still reasonably priced, made with care and very high quality.

You'll love that .270 Win CVC. Of all the biggame cartridges I've used, all things considered, the .270 Win has been my favorite and has long been my primary cartridge for all biggame hunting.

i do not think you will go wrong with any of the choices you listed...

i have tried a bunch of different scope makes, and i keep coming back to leupolds...
others do have better glass, clearer and brighter, but for my hunting needs, i have never been wanting more from a scope than what a luppy provides...

though, with some you can get a few more minutes in the morning and the evening...

It is a .270 Win built by Cooper of Montana. I don't have the rifle yet. It will take between 4-6 months before I get it. It is their Jackson game rifle, walnut stock and stainless steel match grade barrel.

I have only ever owned one Leupold but would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody. If the old Redfield were still around, that would be my scope of choice. I doubt it was any better than the Leupold but I'd never admit that to friends with a Leupold.

When you enter the world of Zeiss, I think you end up paying far to much for a name, which is fine if you can afford it. But look thru it and a Leupold at the same time and tell me you can see a difference in them compareable to the price difference, I doubt you can!

I am going to Cabela's tomorrow and will compare scopes side by side. I have Nikon Monarchs, but I am leaning toward the Leupold. I've pretty much eliminated the Zeiss.
