Got a Remington 700 VLS .243 Thursday night and just took it out today. It is a sweet gun and I think I am going to have lots of fun with it. I put a Nikon Monarch 4 x 12 BDC scope on it.
I have never used a Bullet Drop Compensating scope so I was sure how it would be but I really like it. I sighted it in at 100 yds and then shot the 200 yard target dead on.
It has a heavy 26" barrel and there is no noticible recoil.
I bought it to punch paper, shoot coyotes and pronghorn antelope.
I figure if I practice and continue reading all the advice on the long range shooting forum I will be able to take my next deer or antelope from about 1000 yards ............just a kidding!
