As near as i have been told the the photos of this deer wil not be made public until the story makes it's debut in a magazine, likely BIG BUCK a saskatchewan publication. I'm not even sure the story will even air on WILD TV. My thoughts are Cody will likely sell DVD's of the footage:::JUST MY THOUGHTS.
There were pictures leaked onto an alberta and saskatchewan sight but they were quickly retracted. I never had the chance to even see the pics on these sites:
I know people make their living from hunting and the video/articles related to their experiences. But it would sure be a mistake in my opinion to not put some pics and teasers out there to generate some press and excitement. Frankly, if I don't get to see the pics, I won't be interested in purchasing a DVD, etc. My experience with hunting stories, both with personal friends and professional hunters, is the bigger the hype the more disappointing the whole story turns out to be.
One of the best ways to scout your hunting area is to look for signs that mature animals leave behind. Wallows, scrapes, rubs and areas littered with tracks are great evidence that game are using your area. But why not look for the single piece of evidence that you are hunting for when fall rolls around anyway... antlers. Game animals in the family cervidae shed their antlers annually. Why not use these unique souvenirs as a way of helping you fill your tag next fall?
