New to Oklahoma, Looking for hunting partner

Just south of Tinker on I 240 right about where I 240 and I 40 meet up. Every time I drive that way in the evening I see either deer or turkey there on the south side of 240.
Lexington is closed to rifle deer hunting, I think it might be a draw hunt. But it's open to archery. Last year was my first year archery hunting and I did hunt there at Lexington a couple times. I would see lots of deer, drew a couple times and let one arrow fly but missed. Seen a flock of 30 or more turkeys there during deer season too.
If I'm gonna hunt here in Oklahoma I'd rather hog hunt than anything. If you've never hog hunted I'd suggest looking into it. Open season year round. Rifle, bow or my favorite dog & knife. Personally I like the hog meat better than deer too.
How many and how old are your kids?
I have 2. My 15 yo son isn't much into hunting but my 12 yo daughter is.

I hunted hogs regularly while stationed in CA. Had a buddy who had acess to just over 3,000 acers. Hogs all over the place. Taken them with rifle and pistol. Never seen the dog and knife thing. Would be interesting too be that close to a PO's hog. My biggest was just shy of 400# and he tried to tear my ankles off when I walked up on him. Shot him at 15y and he broke his leg while running awayway. I guess he stepped in a hole, but down he went. Had to finish him off point blank range.

My kids are 9g, 5b, soon to be 3b. My 9 year old daughter has hunted with me sense she was 3 (dove, duck, quail, pheasant, deer) and my 5 year old boy sense he was 3 (deer only). But he gets so excited he can hardly contain himself. Has colst me a couple blown shots at deer but its all a learning experiance for him and me having him.

I'll be making a trip to CA to visit a few friend in mid July. Hope to do atleast 1 day of hog hunting and I'll have the kids with me for that. I know my 5 year old will love it. He cried the closing day of the season this year when i told him it was all over. Now that he has fishing on his mind he is all about that till opening day comes around.

Looking for hunting partner to hunt public land in Oklahoma.

I'll be moving to Tulsa in a few weeks. I have a deer hunt planned in Arkansas but I'd be interested in hunting Oklahoma, too. Thumbs up

We'll have to rely on some locals or do our homework to figure out the lay of the land. Brick Wall,)
