New Mexico Oryx, bear, and turkey results tomorrow

Well it's actually just a few more hours till 12:01am when you should be able to check the results online.

I applied for Oryx for the first time this year so I'm gonna hold my breath till then.Big smile

I actually get up to get ready for work at 3 so I will have to let the news wait a little while.

I'm not sure where he found

I'm not sure where he found out from but a friend of mine called me from Utah tonight and said that he drew his tag in the Stallion Range and wants to know if I can go with him.  My problem is that I have to wait for my draws to come out to see what is going to happen.

which one

Which one are you most excited to draw.... the oryx, bear or turkey?  Any of them would be a great trophy.... all of them would be collosal.  Which one do you want most?  Maybe one of these days I'll post my oryx story on this site.  I was fortunate enough to hunt Africa and had an exciting stalk on a gold medal oryx, known as a gemsbok in Africa.

My son-in-law did it agan.

My son-in-law did it agan. Now he is 3 out of 4 years. First he got his once in a lifetime in 08, in 09 he took an old off range broken horne and now he drew another off range. At least we only live about three hours away from the east side of the range, but this will be a hot one it is in july, but he will be hunting.

Saw this post late

I wouldn't have started another thread under New Mexico if I had seen this one.  Drew Stallion Range "Once in a Lifetime".  Nice ride down 60 East for me from AZ in February when there's nothing else to hunt.

Awesome Alpine!  That's a

Awesome Alpine!  That's a good time of year to be down there too.

One of these years I will put in for that Oryx hunt.  My buddy did it and loved it, got a great bull.

However, it'll have to wait a little.  Got this fall booked, looking at whitetail in Illinois next year and maybe elk.  So, i guess it's 2013 at the earliest.

Although, if there are hunts in July, I might have to put in for one of those.

 Vermonster, they have cut

Vermonster, they have cut back on the hunts, the on range are from Oct through Feb but we have off range hunts every month of the year. The thing with these are they have low success, but if you set up next to the range you have a good chance of filling a tag. My son-in-law got one in 09 or 10 and he drew a tag for July of this year, I told him he needs a new set of camo for this hunt, the temps can go to 110 or so that time of year.

Just curious, are the off

Just curious, are the off range hunts the same price?  I know they are wicked expensive, compared to pretty much all other draw tags in the country, but I understand that because it's something you can't experience anywhere else unless you travel to Africa.

I'd love to do it, but the $$$$$ for the tag means I will need to save a little.
