Li NY here. Lived in Oneonta before the military and now living in Long Island.

I am from New York as well. My hometown is a little farm town near Lake George, New York. I am currently a student at Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York and am wondering if anybody is from/familar with the area and knows of any decent locations to hunt.

Went to a Bar one time in New York city. Cute little thing in the dim light introduced herself as " Bill".
I was out of there, but in retrospect it was funny..

I don't remember the name of it but there's some state land southeast of Potsdam that I used to hunt on when I went to Clarkson. I saw a few deer out there but never took one out there. There's also partridge in there. Check the maps. There's also a wildlife management area on the other side of Canton. We used to hunt put-and-take pheasants there but there are some crop fields and I'm sure there's deer there also. Good luck hunting....and in school.

Hello Matt, Glad to here of another young hunter who will assure our traditions get passed on to the next generation. Matt there is only one thing more important than hunting and that is your education. With a good education you will be able to one day defend your right to keep and bears arms, and if you choose you will be able to get a job that directly impacts our fishing and hunting here in New York. In the world today you are judged by the way you speak and act and if you wish to be taken seriously you must be educated. You are the future of our heritage and it is your duty to protect it as those before you have. If you and your dad ever get up to my area feel free to stop in and I'll take you guys pheasant hunting. The snow was nice until it rains xmas eve and melted it all away .... except for the big brown salted mounds of ice . New to the area for hunting .... ususally stick to upstate where im from in binghamton , but looking to get into some bowhunting at rocky point before season ends ......anyone with any tips ?

u dont have much time! The Bow season ends Dec 31st. But then u get a chance to hunt the Jan shotgun season out there.
