Thank you all for the warm welcome. The buck came from private property, feeding on Pinquito Beans. I saw to 4 ptrs that afternoon after getting this 3 pt! The lease is on Drum Canyon Rd. off Highway 246. It lies between Lompoc and Buellton. Many of the surrounding bean farms have converted to vineyards and have put up high fences so the deer and hog hunting isn't as good anymore the last couple of years.
If you want to properly preserve velvet antlers, you will have to inject & brush them with formaldehyde or some of the new less toxic chemicals (4 in 1 solution works great as does Knobloch's antler in velvet tan) as its easier to use however, both will work.
