I'm a handy man and been painting exteriors. Start early , quit early.

Can't wait to wake up to some frost.

Hot.....is an understatment!! Makes it tough to get geared up for the upcoming season. I hope it is cool in October. I'm ready to spend some time in a tree stand!!! I too am going to get back into archery hunting this year after about a 7 yr. break due to having children. Wonder if I can remember how to shoot that darn thing!!!!

Also looking forward to some waterfowl hunting. Anyone in here do that too? I got bit by "the waterfowl bug" late last year and had a great time. I'm hooked. Anyone have any decoys or gear they want to get rid of, let me know!!

Red...you have a lawn care business?? Me too, here in Manhattan.

Been a better year than last, but man I hate this heat. Brick Wall,) I believe you guys have gotten more rain than over here in Lawrence. Has it been a good year for you guys?

I just talk to a lady at the Jackson Co. fair that was looking to get out of their lawn business in Manhattan. Been in it with her husband for 30 some years I think. They were asking about someone to take over for them. Wish I would have gotten their name for you.

Ya, it hasn't been bad. It seems that everytime it starts to get too hot, and lawns are starting to burn up, it rains about .5-1" . We've had a pretty good year. Wonder who that was looking to get out of their business???? I thought I pretty much knew everyone in business around here....maybe not!!! I'm actually looking to sell off as well, so not that I'd be interested....just curious.

They were a couple that seemed ready to retire ( 60's or so), I believe it was just the two of them.

I guess i get too much sleep.

I like to duck hunt , as well. I buried my old dog yesterday morning. He taught me how to waterfowl hunt when I got the bug around 15 years ago, and I will miss him. He was a 100lb chessie and if I could give any advice , it would be to buy a small dog if ya live in Kansas. This ground is hard to dig a grave in.

I had to do it for him, he would have done anything for me.

I have a young lab female to take his place. She won't be much this year, just something to cuss.

Red Rider, i sent ya a PM.
