has anyone started to see rutting behavior in jersey yet

New jersey Rut?

It's been my experiance hunting in NJ over 20 years that the best 2 weeks for buck activity has been the last week of regular archery and the first week of extended archery. That usually makes it the last week of October and the first week of November.

Hunting Tip: Get in Shape When Coming Out West

Every year many hunters and outdoorsman and women come out west from the midwest and east coast to hunt the prized mulies and elk. One topic that comes up often is altitude sickness. My advice for flatlanders is to get into the best possible shape. Start months before your hunt, usually really ramping up my cardio around March or April.
