Thanks again. And I am also lucky to have a wife that I camp and fish with, not hunt though, she went through hunter saftey course, I bought her a 20 guage and as soon as we went out Quail hunting I realized she'd never pull the trigger. That's fine with me though. It's nice to plan camping trips to spend quality time with your wife rather than quality time away from the wife as many men do. I say we are both lucky men.

Except this is what can happen when your start taking your wife fishing too much. She will eventually start catching all the biggest fish Oops! .

Yeah, you'll see elsewhere on the forum that we have learned that when our women (wives or daughters) come along - we need to enjoy the probability that they will catch and shoot far bigger creatures than we do.

If I remember right it was 6lbs 3oz. We caught it (or she caught it) about 15 min aftter a guy on another boat near us landed one that went 9lbs 8oz in the same area. This was at Castaic Lake, Ca. And anyone who follows Bass fishing knows this is an inpoundment for monster Largemouth. There are locals who fish this lake on a daily basis in hopes of landing the next world record. But it was a heck of a Bass and put up a very exciting fight. By the time I netted that sucker for her my legs were shaking, it was a heck of a day. I don't even want to post a pic of the Bass that I caught that day though, just suffice it to say I got schooled.

Thought you might like this link to Idaho fishing. Notice the largemouth bass record is 10 lb 15 oz. She's not to far behind lol Quite a difference from Castaic Lake record which is #2 on the list at 22 lb. .5 oz. Something to shoot for!
