Thanks for the welcome. Well thats good to know that im not too far from good hunting. I wouldnt mind hitting up Bethal Ridge GMU 360 next year for white tail. elk not sure because can only get them spikes and not the big honky bulls that i see at the wildlife game feed station lol.

Wecome Mauser. Yeah that spike only bull rule kinda sucks. I hunt over that way often and only see branch antlered bulls or cows, seems like. Don, how many spikes do you think are in that Bethel unit at any one time? 20 maybe? In how many square miles? It's like finding a needle in a haystack! So , Mauser, count me as one who shares your concern on the Elk. Now if you can draw a PERMIT for that area, your odds will go up substantially.

As for Whitetail.....I never heard of any around Yakima. I think you'll find all Mule Deer. Those will be 3-points or better. And thats western count, 3 points on one side.

hmm well looks like i just gotta kill whatever is around then lol. ya i swear the animals that are being hunted are smart. when i went up saturday to check things out i only saw two carcasess hanging and drying out.. now what about rimrock/lost lake area? hows that area for elk/deer?

I just got home from hunting the bethel 360 for elk. Wife aand son had any bull tags. we did not have any luck. Right place wrong time. wrong place right time. saw plenty of cows but no bulls. My cuz. filled his cow tag this morning. as for deer most of thhe deer south of hyw410 are blacktail all the way to the Klickatat goldendale areas

so for deer just hit up the mud lake area and when i was up around the bethal area last weekend saw 2 bodys hanging at one site. nothing for everyone else. was going to do some calling to get my skills up and test it out/scouting but no luck. however went to the road leading to lost lake on hwy 12 and did some calls with the houchie mama and i think i heard a bull but later ran into a hunter who said earlyer ran into a herd of cows at this one pasture but no luck. but gonna do more scouting now till next year
