I'll be hunting New Hampshire for the first time this year, I got an invite from a friend. We'll be going way up north somewere, I'm not sure were yet.
Got any advice for a first timer in the north woods of New Hampshire?
been hunting new hampshire for 15yrs, mainly in freedom, ossipee, tamworth area, very tough hunting!!! i like to find a good funnel off a field or a place with some nice ridges, with plenty of acorns, or hunt the swamps as hard as you can, after the first couple of days of rifle season these bucks will not move until dark or just before legal shooting time ends so stay in your tree stand or spot until the last minute of legal shooting time thats when you will have action or in the morning go up high and see if you can get them coming back to bed for the day. hope this helps...later bill
