Good grief. It's not something i'd do. It just my way of saying how I feel about ATV's during hunting season.

It just sirprized me that you said that. I own and use a ATV. i am very picky about where i drive my truck, so i would rather use my ATV. but i never take it off road or on a closed trail. But, it makes me madder then heck too, when people take them off road where they shouldn't be. a few people make us all look bad. Kevin

Nothing wrong with using an ATV if you're responsible like you. The problem is there's too many out there who aren't. It get's pretty annoying. I could never destoy someones property, but I can sure tell them what I think of them.

I've often thought while hauling out meat on my back.....an ATV would be nice right about now.

As long as it is legal where you are going to use it they are nice to pack out a elk. I have a friend that tried to use one in a closed area in Utah a few years ago and from what he said he just about had to sell the ATV to pay the fine. The sad thing about it was that a few years before it was legal to use a ATV to retrive game in this area but if you got caught coming out without a animal then you were in some deep doo doo. Then the forest service closed it down compleatly.

A bit of a harsh comment

But, I dont believe still hunter would ever actually resort to that. I made it up to my area yesterday for a quick afternoon hunt. Went down the old logging road I was on a week before talking to a bull on. This area is closed to all vehicles the beginning of it barricaded by boulders to ensure it. What did I see on the road as I walked down? ATV tracks. I like being in areas where game isnt bothered by more human activity due to easy access by vehicles. Really bummed me out especially since their not allowed in there. The law breakers on those things do piss me off and I can feel still hunters frustration.
