Paul Bunyan is not an area. What town is nearby, Bemidji?

This one would be hard to measure the canines. It had the 6 middle teeth, but no upper canines. It was about 200 lbs and probably 3-5 years old. The canines just never developed.

What sounds does it have? I am sure it would work fine if you have bears in the area. Just make sure to call for a min. of one hour.

Last fall I purchased a FoxPro Scorpion with some fawn and calf distress and I plan on recording my own sounds as well. I get bored calling sometimes.

I`m thinking about the Paul Bunyan State Forest. Close to Walker, Mn.

Bear opener is September 1st. About September 15th. archery deer season and small game seasons open. Chances of taking a bear drop way down once the archery and grouse hunters hit the woods.

Billy,
it has a fawn distress, rodent, rabbit, and howl, I'm hopeing it works, my plan was to set it up near an opening close to a bush and tie a rope to the bush use the call and tug the rope for a visual.

Sounds like a good plan. I would also take a hand call for louder or softer calling as well as being able to add emotion. Good luck.

Thanks Blackbear, sounds like I`d better go the first of the season. I`m going up next weekend to look around.
