Sounds like your all set. Do you have a place to hunt?

I was planning on hunting some near by state game lands haven't done any scouting yet do u recommend hunting from a tree stand or stalking on the ground.

Welcome yz I prefer stand hunting, but certain situations make a stalk real fun.

I think i am going to try hunting from a stand i checked out some areas and found a few nice places to set up my next question is i have an older bow it shots great but i was wondering if it is worth spending $350 on a new bow with better parts can any one answer wether it is really worth it can a better bow make a big diffrence in the outcome of a hunt.

If you are comfortable with that bow and it performs well, I would use it to start with. I am not sure you can find a bow and get it set up for $350. Use that bow this year and keep in mind what you do not like about it when you look for a new one. The 2 main things I think will improve your chances are a quiet setup and your ability to shoot consistently. Depending on how fast your old bow shoots speed could be a factor also.

red rider thanks for the advice but i just bought a new bow about 30 min before i read your post it is a pse nova su reason being i took my old bow out to shot in a wooded area to try diffrent shot angles and found my peep sight didn't let in enough light in the shaded woods and my sights were hard to see as well and my arrow rest only worked when bow was perfectly straight so instead of replacing everything i just bought a new bow

Sounds like you made a good choice. I'm glad you took the bow out first to see how it worked in a hunting situation. Good Job

What town are you near? I know some decent SGL's I can recomend in eastern Pa.
