I had this guy at 25 yards broadside had no idea I was there and had an arrow nocked and release ready....but that darn tag in m,y pocket says "anterlerss". I got a OTC "cow" tag this year as I have an 2nd season rifle bull tag. 1st year I have not had a either sex tag. I was copmpletly bummed and still am but it was very cool to be that close. Pictures do not do justice as he is at 70 ayrds n this picture and I was using my pocket camera that does not have alot of zoom. he was a really nice heavy horned 5x6....and he would have looked real good in the back of the truck and I would put him on my wall.

Great pics. Beautiful views.
Great pics. Beautiful views. Isn't that how it always works, you don't have a tag and you see a bull. You have a bull tag and you see cows. Hopefully you'll connect during 2nd season. Good luck:thumbsup1:

Location: From Grand Junction CO, stationed in Germany
been there man
Yeah that’s the way it goes. I have two tags in the same season this year, a bull and a cow tag. If things continue to go the same way for me I won’t see a single elk.
