Here's a pic of a bull that may end up as the new #2. The guy that shot it is a guy a met through a buddy years ago when we were all in college.
Wow that is a huge bull! When you talk elk Nebraska is not a state that comes to mind right away but it seems they have so really nice ones. Congratulations to your buddy.
That's a heck of a bull! I am a member on a Nebraska hunting forum, because my sister in law lives there, and I tried (still trying) to get my wife to move there. The elk that they take there, even though not as many, and not as well known, are some awesome animals.
They are spreading too. Had a guy post a couple of days ago a trail camera photo of the rear end of a spike bull. he had never seen an elk in real life and was askign if that was one. It wasn't where elk are supposed to be, I guess.
Congrats to that lucky hunter! Hey Bull Buster, are you a member of any NE forums?
That's a heck of a good bull, what atg did he draw? Congrats to your friend.
Now that's a monster and exactley what I had in mind when I headed out last weekend. Unfortunately that's not quite how it worked out for me.
Congratulations to the guy that was able to knock that one down.
That's HUGE! And in Nebraska? Really? I knew there were a few elk there but had no idea there were any bulls even close to that! I expect to see and hear about huge whitetails in Nebreaska, not bull elk.
Wow is all I can say.
Incredible bull and congrats to the hunter.
They have been knocking down some giants for several years now in Nebraska. My great aunt killed a 9x10 muley several years back that is number 10 in the state of Nebraska also.
wow that is a great looking bull, congrats to the hunter. I am a big believer now that a big bull can be found in pretty much any west state. Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Nevada, new mexico are know for producing big bulls but this goes to show you that any state now in the west should not be over looked!
Va Vermonster. I look at the Nebraska Outdoor forum (bjacked.net) from time to time.
This Bull was shot in the Hat Creek unit which is a good unit however the state record bull was shot along the Platte River 409. These are once in a lifetime permits and only for residents. I'm still waiting for my chance but, I'm sure its coming soon. ![]()
Wow!! Thats a sweet looking bull and one that any hunter that I know would be extremely proud of. I didn't know that Nebraska had bulls like that. I knew they had some elk but thats a nice one. How many tags do they give out every year? Congrats to your buddy on the fine bull.
