Too often we hear about the greed that some of our lesser hunters display, not the kind of sportsmanship that we should all strive to have. However, this is a great story. Probably wouldn't have happened this way if they were not friends, but still, they can see through the $$$$.

Maybe I am a jerk, cynical or as Jim says, just a curmudgen, but I shake my head when I read things like, "I missed because I always need a warm up shot." Dude, practice so you don't need to sling lead before connecting. Take some pride in your marksmanship and hunting ability.
Just don't go out there and hope to get lucky....practice, hone your skills and hope that luck is on your side.
I don't see what else they could do but share the deer considering they both shot it at the same time. I don't know....I just don't feel good about this type of hunting. Again, maybe that is just me.
What CVC, you've never missed a deer? I think the guy was saying that tongue in cheek, I highly doubt he was serious.
Hmmmmm......maybe you're right. I guess I just took him to be serious when he said it. If he was joking then okay, then it is funny, but you can't tell tone from the printed word. Same problem with forum posts too which is why I beleive they invented emoticans.
