My Wisconsin Monster 10 point

Hey guys, hope all is well.  Thought I would share a couple pics of my big ole 10 point I took the other day with a bow.  I'm from Pittsburgh, PA but this is my 2nd archery season hunting up in WI.  I took this beast Nov 1st just after 9am at 10yds.  He weighed 175lbs dressed.  It was an intense hunt to say the least.  I first spotted him (barely) at 35 yards.  I saw that he had a big rack and he was straight ahead of me.  I was sitting in a ladder stand.  It was a thick area full of young pines and saplings among larger mature trees and small openings.  He started walking directly towards me and dissappeared into the very thick pines in front of me.  This allowed me to reposition a bit and grab my bow.  Finally, after he took his time sneaking through the pines he was just about 12 yds from me and stopped in the pines.  I could barely see him but he was looking back and forth very slowly and quietly and checking things out before he decided to step into the open.  I was shaking in my pants wating for him to walk out.  He did this for about 10 mins but he never scented me (thanks Tinks!) Finally, he turned broadside and took a few steps, his head went behind a good size tree.  I drew and let her rip.  Was a well placed shot and found the big boy about 150 yds away.  This is my biggest buck yet.

Thanks guys!!!  I haven't seen these two...I tried looking it up with no success.  You happen to have a link?  I know there are some monsters in PA.  Some of the biggest bucks taken in PA have been taken near the burgh!

Wow... that thing is an absolute toad! Nice work taking that thing down. You definitely did the human race a favor by taking him out because he would have certainly starting feeding on human babies at any time. All kidding aside, that thing is a beast. Have you scored him? He definitely has some very good mass. Congratulations on getting that bad boy. You might just have a little bit of a hard time topping that thing but good luck. And I am assuming you are getting him mounted so I really hope the mount turns out good.

Thank you!  Yes definitely getting mounted!  I'll be sure to show the pics of the mount when it is finsihed next year.  Haven't scored him yet but looking forward to see what he comes out at.

Thanks Steve!  Believe it or not, missed a buck similar to this one up in Northeast PA back in 2006.  He still haunts my memory, BUT this 10 pt has made me a happy man!  Looking forward to hunting with you soon.  Call you soon.
