Where I come from you are

Where I come from you are probably never going to see a bear in the woods while hunting in your life time. To me a 200 lbs bear would be a spectacular trophy. Go Get'em Mossbuck!

Nice pics!  I'm a bad judge on bears too, they all look big to me.  Thanks for sharing.

Well its totally up to you. I

Well its totally up to you.

I probibly would not shoot that bear, it was most likely run off from its mom because she was gonna breed. I would rather have a mature bear over a adolescent. If you shoot that bear then what? Are you gonna just have a photo-op , are you gonna eat it. Think about after the shot then decide if you want that bear. If your plan on hunting bear with a bow you need to study a bears ananomy,  there vitals are more foward and centered.

Good Luck & Have FUN!

I have yet to harvest a bear,

I have yet to harvest a bear, I'm being very picky, my wife says i can have 1 rug so I want it to be perfect. I want a larger 350-400lbs bear with all black muzzle to tail, or a coor phase. I've had chances at 3 bears so far but they just werent what i was looking for. So i say if you want something in particular than hold out.

cam pics

Thanks hoggetter and thanks for all the comments guys.

Instead of getting a bow tag I decided to buy a muzzy tag. And I went back out to put my trail cam out this last weekend and ended up finding alot of bear scat and I actually think there is more than one bear in the area. If I get an oppertunity at any bear I will take it unless it is a cub. I can shoot either sex where I am hunting. I would actually be happy with whatever I shoot, I just want to have memories of the hunt. And would like to have a rug to remember that hunt. If I get any more trail cam pictures of this bear or others I will post them up. I am going back out this weekend to check my cam. Im just really excited for hunting season and want to get out and have fun. Even if I dont get a bear atleast I can say I had fun doing what I love. And that is being out with my family and enjoying the Great Outdoors. Ill keep you guys posted on what I get pics of this week!!

Bears are hard to judge. I

Bears are hard to judge. I was thinking the same thing as Hoggetter when I first saw the pictures. But I'd still shoot him.
