My First Whitetail Buck with a Bow

After many years of hunting Muleys I decided this year to go after Whitetails. I shot him on Oct 19 2006, from about 20 yards. My first reaction was that I hit two branches and the arrow deflected down and I missed him, but when I went to see where my arrow ended up it was covered in blood and I found a blood trail. He went about 50 yards to this cutline where I found him.

Very nice! Thumbs up

I shot a doe one time that I was sure I missed. Sounded like your situation. I went to where the arrow was and found half the arrow and a gallon of blood. She was piled up 35 yards away shot in the heart. Prety crazy.
