My First Muley

Arrowed this fella on Sept. 6 '05 in Colorado. Scouted him during pre-season and spotted him a few time once season started. Stalked to within 40 yards and didn't have a good shooting lane till another deer spooked and pushed him into 16 yards where I got off my shot. He fell about 85 yards later. I am pretty stoked still. A none 'official' scorer scored him at about 190. Have about 5 more weeks till I can get an official score. I am keeping him in velvet since he is my first.
I am traditionally a whitetail hunter but really enjoyed the challenge of bow hunting a mule deer. (right down to the stickers in my feet..lol)

LOL good observation

The picture was taken in the backyard. I hunt only an hour from home. I shot him in the late afternoon and didn't have my camera with me. It was dark by the time we retrieved him. I didn't take that picture till early the next morning. I have a few from that night but those didn't turn out as nice because of my buddies cheap camera in the dark. Pretty good eye, hope you enjoyed him anyway.
