My first antelope

This was my first antelope , from south east Wyoming in early October, very exciting hunt , much much different than south central illinois , at home its so thick generally you only can get in about a 50 yard shot at most , so i am used to the close up in your face hunts, which i do love, but this was very cool hunting a totally different style with antelopes several hundred yards away and open terrain rolling hills in south east wyoming , looking for suggestions on another location to take my next pronghorn

Great picture and nice buck!

Great picture and nice buck!  We enjoy hunting antelope in Wyoming too.

I'd recommend sticking with Wyoming for future antelope hunts.  I'm sure there are good hunts for non-residents from New Mexico to North Dakota, but Wyoming has, by far, the largest population and offers the most tags per hunter for a reasonable cost.  And since you've been there before, you already know how their system works.

Congrats!

I too took my first antelope in WY this past season and look to be returning for future hunts. In my reasearch I find WY to be the best bang for the buck with the best odds of getting drawn and actually filling your tag(s).

awesome

Congrats on your first goat! I got my first one this past fall in Wyoming too. It will definitely be a hunt I do again in the future sometime. Like others have said, my research has as all pointed to Wyoming for having the best opportunity along with big bucks available for those willing to work at it. I have also heard a lot about New Mexico if you want a jumbo 'lope. Drawing a tag in New Mexico can be difficult, but I think they have a landowner tag deal there if that's something you are interested in. Good luck on your future antelope hunts!
