Had to show a pic of my daughters new friend she discovered. This baby squirrel was fearless and kept following her around. She named him Bubba
Curious how long this critter will last before he becomes a meal
I took big brother turkey hunting this year so she keeps bugging me to go next year. Maybe we'll get her out there, problem is she's a talker and a mover. As far as the squirrel hunting, I think this little fella ruined that
Yeah she wanted to bring him in the house, so we had a little talk about how it was a wild animal and needed to treat him as such. Was kind of hard when the dang thing would follow you around and climb on your shoes. We also discussed how it was very dangerous for him to be running around without his momma and having no fear.
Cute daughter! I first took my son hunting when he was 3 yrs old. You cannot, I repete CANNOT shut up a 3yrs old. Thank God for that. His thing was to look for fox holes and every indentation was to him a fox hole. Another thing, ask an excited kid to wisper, I'll do little to save your hearing! Kids, ya gotta love'em!
That kid is 34 now and has a 4 yr old daughter that goes everywhere with him.He still looks for fox holes but now has a buddy that's not telling him to wisper! :\:D/
I just received this via an email today. Seems perfect considering all that has been posted here.

That's good! I tried that with a young nephew along time ago, "sit, be quiet and I'll be right back" yeah, right. About the time I was watching some good bucks come into a field he started screamin' and hollerin'. He thought I left him ,) Oh well , it was fun.
Sometimes I wish those Gramophone boosters would end at 6 Just kiddin' I wouldn't know what to do without all the chaos
My biggest discomfort when it comes to hunting is my feet and when they get cold or wet my hunting fun slowly turns to a job trying to keep comfortable.
In my opinion wool socks are the only socks you should be using while hunting. Any other socks do not provide the proper insulation and if they get wet all they are good for is giving you blisters. A common myth people share is that cotton socks will keep you cooler than wool because of the lighter fabric but I have noticed that wool socks in...
