My dads 2010 Colorado muley!!

After not having a sucessfull elk hunt this year!! My dad was able to make it count today on the second to the last day of the 2nd deer season. It has been an awsome year for hunting deer and elk. The buck is a nice 3x4, not a monster but we are happy to have a freezer full of venison this year!! I would like to thank elkkill06, and exbiologist for helping me on my elk hunt this year. even though I didnt get an elk I got to see some awsome country and animals. :thumbsup1: If anybody else has got a tag still, good luck to everybody an I hope you tag on big ones!! Big smile

Nice Buck!

Nice buck, guys! I'm always impressed by how much larger the body of a muley is than most whitetails.

Looks like you were in the bottom of a canyon or wash. Hope you didn't have a tough time getting him out.

Thanks for the report.

Thanks!!

Hey thanks guys for the replys, My dad was using a Thompson Center in 270 win with a 19 inch custom barrel. The deer was 150 yds and my dad knocked the deer of its feet with a 130 grain bullet!! Its my dads favorite gun to hunt with cause of its accuracy. Big smile

Very nice buck!

His neck looks a little swolen.  Are they rutting in your area?  Looks like you didn't have to bleed that one out!  HA HA

Congrats to your Dad on a fine buck!

Congratulations to him on

Congratulations to him on taking a great deer like that. What kind of gun was he using? Is that a contender with a butt stock? What caliber? That is pretty neat.
