my biggest bear

hi all, i'm from BC Canada and really enjoy bear hunting. me and my buddies go out in the spring and its not uncommon to see 10-20 bears a night where i live. to date here is my biggest bear. i got him in the spring a couple years back. the bear was 6'2 on the body from nose to tail (thats prolly about 7.5ft if you measure your bears from nose to back foot). the skull measured 19.5 inches B&C. hopefully this spring I can find one over 20 inches.

it was a spring bear, so obviously a lot lighter than he would be in the fall. but my guess is around 300-350lbs.

Just curious but what method of hunting did you use? From what I see and read there's a lot of spot and stalk in your area and the thought of doing such for an animal like the one you shot certainly sounds exciting! Nice work. Thumbs up

Spot and stalk is the only legal method in BC. BC does not allow any baiting.

SWEET bear man. I hope to tag my first this fall, but then after 6 years of going for them I still say this year is the year. Only done the spot and stalk. Just seems to be the way to go for me.

Black bears always seem big in pictures and video cameras. How come they look smaller as you get close to one?
