My 2011 Wyoming 4x4

Shot this buck the last day after looking over about 20 smaller ones during the season.  His rack isn't fantastic, but he was one of the biggest bodied bucks I've shot out there over the years.

Congratulations on a fine

Congratulations on a fine looking buck. He might not be a record book buck but he looks great and will fill your freezer for sure.

Thanks guys!  The more I look

Thanks guys!  The more I look at him as I'm getting ready to put him on a plaque, the better he's getting, LOL!  In fact, I think he may be the second and he's definitely in the top three, of about a dozen I've taken since 1994 when I started hunting in Wyoming.  The best thing may be that it was my first  buck with  a reload in my pre64 model 70.  The 150 grain Hornady BTSP cut his heart in half at 174 yards and he went down and never twitched when the bullet hit him.  It took me most of the day and two trips to get him backpacked out about 1 3/4 miles back to camp.  All those things added together at age 64 really makes it sort of a special deer for me when I look back at the hunt.
