Field Care

I wasn't trying to lash out at you or anything.  I was just explaining why it's useful.  I'm sorry if I came across rude in any way.

Using this packet along with verifying with your taxidermist is the best combonation of knowing what your taxidermist wants.  Everyone who attempts to cape any animal should always keep the mindset of "leaving too much is always better than not having enough".  Taxidermists can trim and cut excess very easily but they cannot magically make more hide appear.

Let me use an example of one of the directions given in the kit for skinning for a shoulder mount.  The hunter is directed to cut the animal at mid body around the belly of the animal between front and back legs.  This will ensure the cape is plenty long for any type of shoulder mount.  Pedistal mounts require more cape than a full sneak would require.
