Mule Deer Pic's

Saw a good number of nice bucks in January while taking my daughter hunting for a Cow elk. Unfortunetely she missed two shots at 150 and 200 yds. Great experience for her though and we were 120 yds from a great 6 point bull and he and some raghorns gave her a bugling show. Her eyes just lit up as it was her first time hearing them bugle. I was surprised as well being mid January. Pretty good trip for a 12 year old!

Sounds like quite the hunting trip. Exciting to get those opportunities in the first place and makes for very good learning opportunities. Those are some nice bucks!

Nice work dad, getting the

Nice work dad, getting the kids out and seeing game is a great way to spend time together. To bad she could not connect on the cow but that is part of hunting. Hope next year you can show her smiling face with a cow. Nice looking bucks too.

Deer

Thanks guy's! She really enjoy's the outdoors. Her sister has requested her hunter safety this year. It is going to be fun sooting with them and teaching them as much as I know and what people have taught me. They already help with reloading. One resizes and decaps, I seat primers and drop the powder charge and the oldest gets to seat the bullets. Then they get their work checked! I was surprised to see the Quality of the deer herd coming back. Those two were the smallest of the 7 good bucks I seen. 3-4 of them were just wide and deep forks with good mass, then I saw a buck that was even with his ears, unknown points and as thick as my wrists all over. I named him the Blob!! Quite a few does and smaller bucks. Next year those good deer should be damn nice to take. No, I won't be hunting for them. Maybe in a few years my daughter can draw.
