Mule Deer Hunting

I am looking to hunt in idaho. I want to hunt mule deer, I have hunted up north near pierce for whitetail. Any advice for mulleys south near boise? I will have my grandfather with me and he is getting old and so I am looking for some places where we can do alot of glassing. I would appreciate your time.

Idaho

I've hunted mainly east & south Idaho but I have been through McCall area and the SunValley area has some good deer which isn't to far of a drive for ya. Best thing to do is talk to locals and maybe the local biologist. Your grandpa will make it difficult depending on how much he can hike and get around. You'll want to hunt areas where you can glass well that's not to thick. Easy hunts that don't require long pushes. ATVs or a jeep on old jeep roads would be good to. Good luck.

Sorry about the delayed response. I just became a member today. You might try Bear Valley above Lowman though its heavy forested. However, many areas aren't steep and shouldn't be difficult hunting. If you'd like to travel a little further east you might try the Arco desert area around the Big Butte. It's flat, open and although there aren't large numbers of deer, there are some monstrous nontypicals which have been killed there. Hope this helps.
