moving day is finally here!

i am finally closed, done, and taken possesion on my house. i have been cleaning, packing, carpeting, drywalling and everything else under the sun to get this placd ready. now tomorrow, we'll be moving our personal stuff into the house for good. and by "we" i mean all by myself. since i have tuesday and wednesdays off, that's what i have to do.  i'll probably be completely absent for the next few weeks, but i'm looking forward to coming back and continuing to learn from you guys. have fun and merry christmas everybody!

woke up ready to move this

woke up ready to move this morning. my wife to my keys to work with her, so i had to drive to her work to get the key to unlock my trailer hitch lock. shorted the trailer lights out plugging them into a wet socket. by the time i started moving, i got two loads taken, ripped out the carpet and sprayed everything with bleach (i bought a house that was empty for almost 3 years, so it smelled like an old farm house) i painted one room, bought the replacement carpet and pad. drank some beer. painted another room, drank more beer, now i'm hitting the cot for a nap.

That's a lot of work for one

That's a lot of work for one day.

Have another beer and relax, you've earned it. Thumbs up

I usually schedule things so the wife does the heavy lifting while I'm at work. Whistling

Edit To Add: Congrats on the new house.

We bought our first, and maybe even only house a few years ago and while I may grumble about it I will admit that there is a certain pride in being a property owner.

I'd like to see the progressive photos from room to room, as you downed more beers... Wink

Cool.  Glad you are moving in.  Have fun making the place your own.  Add some camo on the walls, the wife won't mind........
