Mount from 2014 Kentucky buck

My Grandson and I rode up to the taxidermist shop yesterday to pick up the mount I had done of my 2014 Kentucky buck. My Grandson sure enjoyed touring the shop and showroom with all the mounts. He was especially impressed with the elk, moose and the full body mount of an albino buck they had. I was very pleased with the work on the mount as I have been with all work they have done for me. Got my grandson to pose with it when we got home!

Very nice, still waiting to

Very nice, still waiting to get mine back but that looks like June. Looks like you will have a future hunting partner. The real fun trip will be going to pick up his first buck from the taxidermist shop!

Thanks! I'll be really happy

Thanks! I'll be really happy when he's big enough to help with the dragging chores too!  Yes

Here he is with me and another Kentucky buck taken in 2011.

And with a Tennessee buck taken that same year.

That is one nice looking

That is one nice looking buck.

It also looks like you are getting the grandson started right and on the right track.  He should be a good packer when he gets a little bit older.

Thanks. He sure seems to have

Thanks. He sure seems to have an interest in joining us soon in a deer stand. He made one foray last year with me at age 4, but as expected, we didn't last too long on stand.

No doubt at 4 he will not

No doubt at 4 he will not last long in a stand but getting him out and exposed is the key. Then in a few years you wont be able to get him out of the stand. Never know when a deer will come in so the next time he is with you could be when that 10 point strolls in.

Thanks again to everyone who

Thanks again to everyone who stopped by! Here's what he looked like right after harvest. I used my .444P and 265gr LE ammo to take him. As you can see it is very thick in this area.

That's a great lookng Buck

That's a great lookng Buck Tndeerhunter!!
Great to have grandson interested in hunting.

I had just started taking mine 3 seasons ago when he was 5 and then I got sick. He was so excited and dead serious about killing a deer. It was hilarious listening to him and watching him "track" deer. He never said a word after I gave him a pair of binos and he got to watch several Does feed thru.
He is 8 now and I am doing way better and he still wants to go. The season cant get here quick enough for me now.

Again, congratulations
