.375H&H but my .338WM was much more uncomfortable to shoot.

I've had 2 338's. I think that as to comfort level the nicest thing I could say is that with 225 gr loads they were manageable if you shot a good bit. I tried some 275 gr Speer's once. Just once! And some 250 gr Hornadys once. Again, just once.

Ah, I also shot a Mod 660 Rem in 350 Rem that belonged to a friend. What a pussy cat! Then he put away the cast loads and put some 250 gr jacketed loads in it. I fired one. One round that is!

I've heard from many people that the 375 H&H is more plesant to shoot.

I shot a friend's 375 Ultra Mag for him before he had a muzzlebrake put on it. We were shooting some 300gr handloads I made up for him. I think my shoulder still hurts from it 3 years later

Nothing too powerful but my 300 rem ultra mag makes quite a first impression. The hardest was probably a 3.5" 12 ga. magnum in a pump 870.

I'd have to go with the 340 Weatherby that I no longer own.

12 ga. 3.5 in a 6 lb H&R single shot, 2 oz of #5 turkey shot.. Sold it the next day.

In terms of ftlbs energy : 500A2 500 grain bullet at 2450 fps ..

Bore diameter : 600NE ( .622 cal )

Regularly shoot my 458 Lott at 2300 fps with a 500 grain bullet ( around 5800 ftlbs )

had to call my grandpa to find out what it was but when i was about 15 he had me shoot his "deer" gun one day we were out shooting not knowing any better I did well long story short it was a 470 nitro express, needless to say I wasnt expecting in and ended up on my butt and he being easily entertianed was laughing so hard he eventually had to sit down.

I'v goto agree .I helped a friend sight in his .375 ulta mag and after 20 shots I was flinching like Cramer off of Sinfield
