I was just wondering what the hardest animal in the world is to obtain a trophy from. Thanks
Apparently its the Whitetail Bucks in my hunting area!!! LOL
My vote is for African lion.
Yeah ya gotta watch out for those whitetails man they're life threatening just don't anger them!!! ![]()
I am confused. The thread title says most dangerous. The question was toughest trophy?
Well as far as dangerous (I have never hunted Africa), there was a guy (I forget his name) who claimed it was Man! He even wrote a book about it. I read the book. It was good but did not make me want to hunt man.
On a lighter note. I lived in Vermont for 5 years and they have a spring (firearm) hunting season on fish. Yeah you climb up in a tree in a backwater off Lake Champlain and when the Pike come in to spawn you shoot them. I tell you tough and dangerous. And leagel.
Most dangerous to hunt AND most difficult to harvest: a mouse running across the floor at a PETA convention.
Definitely a jackalope. Quite allusive in the wild and rumored to rove in packs like wolves.
I'd have to vote for any of the big cats.

This was the question that I was refering to billi, Although I did see a big ol Buck eyeballin me once during Dove season.
I just pretended to have some Buck shot with me and left to wait for a better day.
Perhaps bitmasher could fill you in on those "Merc Deer". They appear to be quite dangerous and their influence is widespread.

Careful, JTapia. The deer-mercs may be smaller in Florida, but they're still extremely dangerous. They'll find out where you live and come after you when you least expect it.
But you raise a valid point. An aggressive, airborne deer can definitely fit the bill on both counts. Use a rifle and your chances of hitting one are extremely slim. So you're stuck using a shotgun, which means you have to let them come in close. This problem is compounded by difficulty with pattern density given that you have to use larger shot. The good thing is that since they're non-aquatic, you can still use lead shot.
Polar bear. Especially if with anything other than mega-magnum rifle. The weather and terrain alone can kill you, and the bears are the top of the food chain and have no fear whatsoever. In that part of the world, man is just another food source.
