What would you guys consider to be the most challenging animal to hunt? And why?

I'm going with the whitetail. I havn't hunted much of the others, but I know it is very difficutl to get past that nose and hearing and the ability to pick up the smallest movements. Seeing you guys walk up to those other animals and taking their pic at 20 yds has got me wondering. I know every animal has its challenges, so thats why I made this post. Hopefully I can learn something Thumbs up

I voted for sheep, simply because of the terrain they live in. Have not hunted them, so can't say how difficult they are to hunt, but the terrain they live in sure looks intimidating. Same goes for goats...

I go with sheep as well. Mountainous terrain and you gotta be in top shape to do the climb. There's not as many sheep either so that adds to the difficulty. On the easiest side, I'd think white tail deer because theres so darn many of them.

Well I'm limited in my area to the whitetail or the moose, whitetail gets my vote. I do't consider the moose much smarter than the average house cat.
In a "non eatable catagory",the coyote wins. Thumbs up

Who say's ya can't eat a coyote? Ted the unibomber did! Yes

Most challenging, gotta be a goat. I've never hunted them but I've seen the country they are in, WOW!!!!! It makes sheep country look like a cow pasture.

AHHH, I sorta figured goats and sheep were the same kinda thing when it comes to hunting. Of course any farmer knows different and has alot more experience with sheep than I do.

I'll say whitetail at #1 just for the difficulty of matching wits with a trophy buck. Simply based on the nature of the animal itself.

Sheep are a very, very close 2nd based on the physical demands required to go after one of these fleet footed creatures. This is due to the rugged terrain they live in.
