This morning's coyote extravaganza!i

I just got permission to hunt a square mile right accross from my house for coyote. then i went out for the first time this morning. i called a normal sequence for about ten minutes then let out a good scramble (dying rabbit) squeal, and 3 coyotes came charging in. i shot this biggest right away, then stood up and there was another standing 5o yards behind me but i couldn't get a clear shot on it with the road and a farmhouse in behind it. so i sat down and kept calling and 2 more came in from the other side. i had one heck of a morning and i'm really excited about hunting once the snow finally hits.

Sounds like a great morning

Sounds like a great morning and hope you can get back out there and take care of a few more. Sounds like you have a bunch in the area that need to be thinned out.

I've never used a predator call...

I had a friend who, a few years ago, decided he wanted to give it a try.  He bought one and went out one night to test it out.  He said he had hardly begun when suddenly he was surrounded by eyes... every direction.  He also said he was a little nervous because he didn't have a lot of ammo and by the number of eyes glowing in the dark he was sure he was going to have to blast his way out to safety.  Big smile
