I'm a firm believer in the moon It does affects everything I rally noticed it on the trapline .When the full moon come the animals travel like crazy Here is a site that I'm going to put to use this fall just to see what come out of it
i believe that the moon has alot to do with deer movement because a deer tends to feed more during the night and beds most of the morning so i suggest going hunting between 1 pm to dark but thats just me but note i have seen some big deer in the morning just not a whole lot of movement
I do believe the moon has it's effects on all animals, I just don't put any stock it in when i go deer hunting. I go every chance I get rain, snow, wind, tornado, freezing, hot, you name it. You never know whats going to happen or what walked past your stand if your laying in bed or sittin' on the couch.
Deer definitely are more active at night during the full moon. I notice when I go scouting that some fields that usually have deer in them early, when the full moon is close those deer don't come out till right at dark or after.
I can't send the link that I wanted to but they claim that when the moon is directly over head has the strongest influence . I 'm going to try this moon thing to see if I get tramppled with deer .LOL I hunt when The season is open and don't care where the moon is but I' ll make a point to be there when the moon is right just for hellrey
