I checked my camera's on

I checked my camera's on Tuesday. I was disappointed because I inly had a couple days of pictures on each one. Both camera's were dead. I don't know if the batteries were bad or what happened. I did get a nice pic of what looked to be a decent 2 or 3 year old but I couldn't see his whole rack so I'm just not sure what he has. I also had a couple younger bucks and some doe's and fawns. I did put in my last mineral site, freshened one mineral site up and went to move the one stand but it was stolen. So, now I only have to get the old rickety stand down, brush in a couple of the stands I moved and figure out what is going on with the camera's. I will try getting the pic of that buck on soon.

Sucks that your stand was stolen. I have yet to get my camera in place but will do it next week.

Will you be doing much early

Will you be doing much early season hunting? I hope you have a stand or 2 by some water sources. I think in the early season especially that will be key.

Oh Yes!

Yes, I'll be out on opening day with Dad plus I guess about 2X a week until gun season. Some may not be all day hunts but I will definitely be getting out. We have several stands that are very near water sources. I built a stand for my youngest son by a bedding area years ago (maybe 9 years ago) and it is between a back pond dad has on the property and a food source - so a great spot. Another 4 stands are by creeks or another pond - all still with water now so the plan will be to focus on these at the start. Just talking about it I get geared up! How about you?

You better believe it!!!!! I

You better believe it!!!!! I wish the season started yesterday!!!!! I went out to shoot the new bow again tonight. I am now grouping really good at 10 and 20 yards. I did shoot at 30 yards but by that time my arm was getting pretty tired and I just decided to go out again another day and dial in the longer distances. I must have flung between 70 and 80 arrows. I came really close to a few robin hoods. I'm glad I didn't though. Too expensive to do that.

Yes, I need to re-sight in my bow as well. Probably will do so in another week or so. I never achieved a complete robin hood but I have skinned another arrow. I chalked it up to shooting too many arrows at once at the target and not expert shooting. Now I only shoot 3 maybe 4 arrows and then retrieve them and shoot again. 70 to 80 arrows is a lot. Your arms are going to need a rest - and probably pretty sore today!
