Got my first deer this year. :smile: So for me, it was a great deer season . Saw quite a bit of deer second weekend, but I got this deer on the bonus season in northern MO. After that, visited relatives in Iowa and got another deer there.
This is my second trip to nw Missouri. 2002 season with a 205lb 8 pt 18 in spread and 1 122 lb doe. 2003 season 187 lb. 8 pt 19 in spread and 11 in g-2 g-3 and 1 doe 134lb, 143 lb doe. unbelievable. got real spoiled from hunting NH. we have deer , but there is more of them in missouri
Others have offered up a sighting of roughly 2 inches high at 100 yards as a good sighting scheme. In my own experience I have come to favor a sighting of 3.5 inches high at 100 yards. This allows for the individual to hold dead-on (directly in the middle of the top and bottom) the animal out to roughly 350 yards.
