Minnesota's 1st annual Crow Hunting Season

I am planning on going crow hunting for this first season here in Minnesota. I already have land that I could use for hunting crows, but my question is what is up with this season? What kind of licences would you need to do this? And how would you go about eating these if you can? Is it just like any bird to clean and eat?

Minnesota has two crow

Minnesota has two crow seasons. The first one is March 1 through March 31 and the second one is July 15 through October 15. That gives anyone wanting to shoot those big blackbirds a lot of time. I'm guessing that the break (April 1 through July 14) allows the birds to nest and breed without being shot at all the time. They are probably very vulnerable during this period. According to an article in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, no license is needed.

For more information, you can read the article at:  http://www.startribune.com/sports/outdoors/85557977.html   It has quite a bit of helpful information and even some tips on how to hunt them.

Good Luck!  Thumbs up
