Minnesota Elk are getting BIG

Here is an article I got in an email about a nice elk that was found with his antlers stuck in some mud.

Yeah, I think i posted this early last month.  Too bad he eventually died.

Sad too see, but he was a beauty for sure. 

Also glad to see that the DFG in that state let the people keep the rack.  Pretty coll of them to do that.  Those people sat there with that thing till it passed away.

Out here in CA, they would have confiscated it, and probably have ended up collecting dust somewhere.

The term nice elk is quite an

The term nice elk is quite an understatement. What a bizzare accident for such a magnificent animal. I would have probably made a call sooner just as I have done when a deer is still alive after being hit by a car. It's a shame to slowly watch him die over a couple of days like that.

I also had no idea Minnesota had elk like this.
