Merry Christmas!

I usually hunt Thanksgiving morning and am happy to say that I've had pretty good sucess, but Christmas is family time for me.  I might get out a little Sunday, but there is not likely to be any hunting on Christmas.  I do know that Santa is bringing me an antler mounting kit though and I am looking forward to that

There is a mounting kit shaped package under the tree labelled "To Mike, from Rudolph - Curse you!" lol

Xmas

No hunting for me on Christmas day either, but I've rarely gone (maybe never). I have also hunted Thanksgiving a good bit for both deer and also for pheasants on a couple of occassions.

I've taken a nice buck on Christmas eve day that was pretty memorable and also a couple of deer on New Year's day as well. Not sure if I've ever hunted New Year's eve day though, as it's also my anniversary.

I have always enjoyed the special days afield and probably enjoy my Thanksgiving day hunts the most. Wife is surprised if I don't go on Thanksgiving day!  Yes

Thanks Rudolph!

Yep! That's what was in the package, now I can start getting the antlers ready to mount and add to the wall

Thanks Rudolph!

I haven't logged on in a few

I haven't logged on in a few days, so sorry for the late reply.  Hopefully everyone had a great Christmas!!!

The only hunting thing I got was a new release.  I have one that is about 15 years old, so I figured I should get a new one.  I would hate to pull back on a deer, ready to harvest my first one ever with a bow, and have it explode in my hands or something... lol

Almost drew it back last night on a hunt, but it wasn't to be!
