Memorial Day

BigGameHunt.net would like to say thank you to all that have served or are serving our great nation. A heartfelt thank you to everyone that has lost loved ones fighting for our freedom. Somehow thank you doesn't seem adequate. Today we remember you and your sacrifices!

I would like to 2nd your comments!! I spent about 8 years of my military career overseas. After returning to Germany from Desert Storm, my family and I traveled to a couple of Memorial Day ceremonies over there (they seemed to mean a lot more to me, all of a sudden) and they were to the two cemeteries, in 1991, mentioned here in this article.

Please read this very well written editorial that talks about the "Lost generation", the American people and their involvement in that terrible, but necessary, war.

yeah, today my wife got me a display case for my dad's veteran flag. she gets a gold star for that one.

as you can imagine, money has gotten a bit tight and i've picked up side work breaking horses and mules. today, i'm sad to admit was another day breaking my back in the dust and the sun with the livestock. but at the end of the day, she came up with that gift, kind of made me tear up a little.

miss you dad, and thanks!... thanks all you guys.

Although I have no immediate

Although I have no immediate family members serving at this time many past generations have and a few friends are out there now. Words cannot express the gratitude I and my family feel for the sacrifices made by these great people.

thank you to all. Past and present

Haven't been on in a few

Haven't been on in a few days, but I ust wanted to echo all the above sentiments.  My Grandfather, who passed away just 2 short years ago, was member of the "Greatst Generation", and landed at Normandy.

Thanks to him, and all the others who have served and given so much to this country!
