I was just wondering why they don't make aftermarket stuff for this cheap rifle like they do the Rugar 10/22 ? I've shot all kinds of .22's in the last 50 yrs, match guns too and few if any shoot much better than this little Marlin model 60 including a bunch of Rugar 10/22"s So whats the deal ?

I'd seriously consider calling or writing to Marlin about this. A company will market a product or provide a service if there is a big enough demand for it. They need to hear this stuff from you, the customer.

Having had several Marlin/Glenfield Model 60's I can give you the answer. It's damn near perfect just the way it is! I like most Ruger firearms but have never liked the 10/22.

Never met a 22 I didn't like, with one exception. I think it is Remingtion 66 with the nylon stock. We just couldn't Bond or spend quality time together.

I'd love to have one of those nylon 66 remingtons. 
Hard Luck, what accessories are you looking for. The tube mag limits what you can do but there are still quite a few after-market stocks of all types for the rifle.
