Marlin 120 Slide-action Slug gun

I bought this at a pawn shop yesterday. I personally have never seen a Marlin Pump shotgun. This one has a long rifled slug barrel, and it came with a Leopold scope. Got it for 200.00. I normally use rifles for deer, but may try this in the swamp next season. Anybody know about these guns? Thanks for any comments!

You have a Marlin 120 slug

You have a Marlin 120 slug gun and was made between 1974 and 1984.  If it was manufactured prior to 1979 the barrel should be a 26" barrel after that they went to a 20" slug barrel.  It is also a all steel and walnut shotgun when other manufactures were going to lighter weight shotguns.  It will also fire 2 3/4 and 3" shell with no modifications.  The scope is possibly worth more than the shotgun but for $200 you didn't get hurt.
