Mannlicher Rifles

I am curious to see if anybody here owns any mannlicher rifles? My grandfather passed away and left these beautiful guns to my father, uncles and oone to me. I recieved a model MCA 270. that has never been fired, but I am considering using it for hunting.

It is still a 270. A good gun. If it truely has never been fired you will decrease its resale value when you put the first round through it. Sounds like there is some sedimental value here? Myself I would hunt with it and thank my grandfather everytime I killed a deer or bear with it.

Thats what I am thinking. The gun even after being fired will still be worth a lot oof money, but I will NEVER sell it so it really dosent matter, its just a beautiful gun that I am going to enjoy hunting with.

In general, you cut the value of a "collector's gun" just about in half the first time you fire it. If you don't intend to keep this as a "collector's item," though, then it doesn't matter.

Hi

I own a Mannlicher .308 Norma Mag. it is a wonderful weapon. It shoots groups within 1/2 inch whit 200gr. Norma Oryx. I’m very pleased with it. By one and be happy.

Best regards

/Peter
