MA Muzzleloader Hunting Law

Greetings everyone,

As you can see I'm new to this site so bare with me.

I'm in the process of doing some research in which muzzleloader to buy and in reviewing the MA laws regarding the type of muzzleloader that can be used and clearly states that "hinge action muzzleloaders are not legal" to use. I'm considering buying a TC Omega. My question is...is the Omega considered a " hinge action muzzloader"?

Looking at the gun on line it appears to me that the Omega would fall under this category. Are there any hunters out there using this model in MA.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Ok...I just read the MA regs and that is ONE STUPID LAW.....They allow IN-LINES but not Break open actions. Im guessing that thier definition of "hinged action" would be any muzzleloader that the barrel is swung up rather than a mechanical type breech block....And again Ill say it....STUPID LAW. Maybe its because people were useing weapons such as the TC encore and useing the rifle barrels and switching them out to muzzleloader in the field or something stupid like that...I dunno...All I know its completely ignorant...The Omega does not fall into that catagory as It has a mechanical access. The barrel is stationary and unhinged... Brick Wall,) Brick Wall,) Brick Wall,) banghead S>>>T>>>U>>>>P>>>I>>>D Law
